OBJECTIVES

Goals of the Programme

? This course is designed for the students who prefer to master in the software

engineering field. This program will expose students to self-regulated learning and

make them competent to handle the IT projects on their own.

? Ensure students develop a comprehensive understanding of software engineering

principles, phases, and ethical responsibilities, enabling them to navigate complex

development challenges with confidence and integrity.

? Encourage students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, equipping

them with the skills and expertise needed to excel in software requirements

management, architectural design, coding, testing, and quality assurance.

? Cultivate students' cognitive skills, including critical analysis, problem-solving, and

decision-making, enabling them to interpret data effectively, identify patterns, and

make informed decisions to optimize software development processes.

? Develop students' communication skills through academic writing, presentations, and

collaborative projects, while also ensuring proficiency in utilizing ICT tools for

research, data management, and document creation, fostering clear and effective

communication in academic and professional contexts.

? Encourage students to take ownership of their learning journey, fostering autonomy

and accountability in their academic and professional pursuits. Promote self-directed

learning and the ability to adapt to emerging technological trends in the rapidly

evolving field of software engineering.

? Provide opportunities for students to collaborate effectively with peers,

demonstrating teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills essential for success in

multidisciplinary development environments. Encourage a culture of collaboration

and mutual support, preparing students to thrive in diverse professional settings.

ENTRY CRITERIA

? 25 years old, completion of a related Level 5 qualification, and 7 years of relevant

experience (of which 3.5 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level

5 qualification)

OR

? 25 years old, completion of a related Level 6 qualification, and 6 years of relevant

experience (of which 3 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 6

qualification)
