The Certificate III in Information Technology is a comprehensive program designed to
provide students with essential skills and knowledge in various aspects of IT. This course covers modules
that explore the concept of Information Technology, advanced word processing, statistical analysis using
Excel, working with presentation software, and creating artworks using CorelDRAW. In the concept of
Information Technology module, students will gain a solid understanding of computing fundamentals,
including the components of a computer system and key terminology. The advanced word processing
module focuses on developing proficiency in creating, editing, and formatting Word documents.
Students will learn advanced text formatting techniques, utilize different document views, and master
the use of tools and functions to enhance document appearance and organization. The statistical analysis using Excel module equips students with the skills to work with data effectively. They will learn
spreadsheet basics, data entry and manipulation techniques, and how to utilize formatting options and
functions. They will also gain an understanding of data analysis, security, and working with reports such
as pivot tables and pivot charts. In the creating artworks module, students will explore the software
CorelDRAW and develop their design skills. By completing the Certificate 3 in Information Technology,
students will acquire a diverse skill set that can be applied in various IT roles and industries. They will
have a solid foundation in computing, advanced word processing skills, data analysis proficiency using
