OBJECTIVES

The Political Turmoil Worldwide & the ever-present fears of extremism and false representation of Islam, promoting intelligent debate & understanding of Islam & the role of Muslims in the contemporary world is increasingly vital. It is a crucial 21st-century issue & there is growing recognition that Islamic studies has become a subject of strategic importance in a multicultural society. the students of today, if properly taught, will become the teachers of the future with a version of the multiculturalism and peaceful co-existence.

ENTRY CRITERIA

A related Bachelor's Degree
OR
A related Graduate Diploma at Level 8

ALTERNATIVE CRITERIA

25 years old, completion of a related Level 5 qualification, and 7 years of relevant experience (of which 3.5 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 5 qualification), and completion of an MQA approved Pre-Master's Program.
OR
?25 years old, completion of a related Level 6 qualification, and 6 years of relevant experience (of which 3 years of experience is obtained after completion of a Level 6 qualification), and completion of an MQA approved Pre-Master's Program.

Contemporary schools of thoughts
Interpretation of Quran in contemporary context
Contemporary issues in Islamic jurisprudence 
Methods of Jurists in deducing rulings
Dissertation
