This programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical
experience required to excel in the agricultural sector, with a specific focus on
sustainable horticulture and agronomy practices. This programme blends theoretical
learning with hands-on applications, providing an in-depth understanding of key
agricultural concepts such as plant physiology, soil management, water conservation,
and pest control. Students will explore diverse horticultural practices, including
ornamental gardening, vertical gardening, and sustainable crop production, tailored to
the unique environmental conditions of tropical island settings like the Maldives. The
curriculum emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship, enabling
students to identify and develop business opportunities within the agricultural sector.
Through case studies, fieldwork, and project-based learning, students will also gain
insights into business planning, management, and operational strategies necessary for
running successful agricultural ventures. By completing this programme, students will be
