The certificate 3 in special education course aims to prepare existing teachers and fresh graduates from school to increase their awareness on the need for educating children with various diverse learning including children with Special Educational Needs.
In particular, this course aims to upskill them with contemporary knowledge and skills to identify, to assess and to plan need based interventions in classroom teaching.
In addition, the graduates of this course will have a positive attitude towards the diverse population of the country, in particular children with SEN and their families.
Finally, this course aims the graduates to make a difference in educating children with diverse learning needs, in particular children with SEN, both in and outside the classrooms.
