A group of 51students from MI College left to Sri Lanka on 19th March 2016. In the study tour Rector of the College Dr. Aamaal Ali and some of the senior management team members participated. Students and accompanying lecturers of the trip were met by the Rector of the College Dr. Aamaal Ali at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport. At the airport a special lunch was provided to all the participants of the tour.
Among 51 students 29 students followed edu-venture programme and 22 students followed Buz-venture programme. Students from Haa Dhaal Kulhudhuffushi Campus, Addu Campus, Raa Meedhoo Outreach Center, Ga. Villigilli Campus and fuvalmulak participated in this tour. This is the fifth study tour undertaken by students of MI College On arrival in Colombo they were met and hosted by the Chairman of the College Mr Ahmed Mottaki. Who takes on a keen interest to personally see to it that the students are well looked after and the program goes to plan.
The purpose of this tour is to deepen the knowledge and skills of students, they were provided two day training session by the Open University of SriLanka on Student Empowerment on Self Learning. In addition Edu-Venture students were provided training focusing early childhood education from, Ladies College and Shining Star Montessori School. Similarly in Buz-Venture programme students visited to tea factory and CBL to deepen their knowledge in human resource management in large industries. Apart from this, the students will be provided opportunities to explore life in a different society such as Hatton and Neuralia and have moments to take photos locking into their minds fond memories of their trip to SriLanka. Students returned to Male on 25th of March 2016.
